Bed Time Tag!

Winters are for staying in and snuggling! I wish I could hibernate! So, without further ado, here comes the bed time tag!

1. What are you favourite pajamas?
I bought them from Primark a few weeks ago. Soft dark grey jersey. Long trousers, vest top and matching light cardigan style dressing gown. They’re so comfy I don’t want to take them off!

2. Current bedtime reading?
Recently I’ve been so tired I’ve just been falling straight asleep. I’ve got The Cuckoos Calling by my bed, and it’s almost finished so hopefully I’ll finish it soon.

3. What is on your bedside table?
A lamp, some chocolate biscuits and my phone charger.

4. Favourite sleepy scent?
I’ve got a pillow spray that I haven’t used yet. I’ll probably give it a go next time El is away. It’s hard to sleep when he’s not next to me.

5. What is your usual bedtime & wakeup time?
About 11-12 pm bedtime, and 7-8 am wake up naturally, but when I do early shifts I have to get up at 5.30am!

6. Top 3 bedtime products?
Soap & Glory Beauty Sleep Accelerator (for when I’m dry), No7 Oily Skin Night Cream (for when I’m oily) and Carmex lip balm (wake up with kissable lips)

7. Your most common sleeping position?
On my side with my knees curled inwards.

8. Any strange bed time routines?
Sometimes I can’t sleep when I’m bored, so I have to put a podcast on, to listen to until I fall asleep.

9. Are you big spoon or little spoon?
We vary. We’re quite fidgety sleepers, so we tend to swap and change positions through the night.

Quick Tips for Sweet Dreams

One of the best things you can do for your body and mind is get a good nights sleep. While the traditional “8 hours a night” may be under question, you should always wake up feeling rested and fresh for the day.

• Try a nice hot drink to help you relax before bed. I’m loving chamomile tea right now, but during the winter I go for a hot chocolate.
• Share your bed with a blanket hogger? Get a king size duvet and they’ll be plenty of cover for everyone. No more tug of war.
• Television, laptop and phone screens give out blue lights, which make your brain think it’s day time. Cut them out of your nighttime routine where you can. Where that’s not possible use a filter like Flux to block out the blue light and help you sleep better.
• Change your mattress. Springs digging in at night don’t only keep you awake, they can also induce nightmares.
